Cameryn/Miss Mass USA Ambassador

Recently photographed the beautiful Cameryn Morais, the reigning Miss Massachusetts USA Ambassador! Cameryn was natural in front of the camera and is following in the footsteps of big sister Hailey (who was a finalist in the recent Miss New Bedford pageant). This was Cameryn’s first pageant…way to go!

Emelia/ Spring has Sprung!

Not really…the rain has made location sessions somewhat problematic this spring, In comparison to what the unfortunate people of Joplin, Missouri are going through, I’m not complaining. One day last week the sun actually came out and stayed out all day and we were able to get these beautiful images of this little sweetie!

The entire session was done in our outdoor shooting areas here at the Rodman Mansion. Emelia’s session feels like spring, through the colors in her clothing and the flowers in her hair..

THINK SPRING!

First Communion Simplicity

Some clients choose to have their son or daughter photographed for the milestone of First Communion. The pre conceived image that most have in mind is the “praying hands pose” draped with rosary beads, as we do include this pose in most of our First Communion sessions, some clients want simplicity coupled with classic portrait style. These two images are of Ryan, whose Mom wanted a simple portrait of him, uncluttered , with no strong religious symbolism. I think we captured this handsome young man just the way she wanted.

As the First Communion season winds down so will our special pricing.  (effective through May 31st)

Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen 2011

As proud sponsors of The Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen Pageant we get to photograph the winner each year for their promotional pictures, pageant programs, etc. We have met some amazing young women over the years and this year is no exception! This year’s winner is Sydney Rachel Levin-Epstein. Sydney is fifteen years old and is from Longmeadow, MA, she attends the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter School and her talent was Irish step dancing. Her pageant platform was to promote understanding about diversity among students to prevent bullying. Sydney is sure to have an exciting and memorable year as the 2011 Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen!

Thanks to Executive Directors, Donna M. Klamin and Valerie J. Lacasse for all their hard work!

Regency Towers/Ribbon Cutting

We recently had the opportunity to photograph the “Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies” of the new Regency Towers here in New Bedford. We witnessed this amazing transformation first hand, as we were the photographers who covered the initial announcement of the plans for renovation. The units are spacious and beautifully decorated and have breathtaking harbor views of the city of New Bedford. Present for the ribbon cutting were Matthew Morrissey/Executive Director/ New Bedford Economic Development Council, Congressman Barney Frank, New Bedford ¬†Mayor Scott Lang, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Senator Mark Montigny and other local dignitaries including several of New Bedford’s City Councillors. This is an example of one more positive step toward the revitalization of New Bedford!
